NIOS October 2026 Hall Ticket Is Live: Check Your Details Now
The official NIOS SDMIS portal is now showing hall-ticket pages for the October-November 2026 Public Examinations and a separate page for the October 2026 Formative Assessment. This affects eligible Secondary and Senior Secondary learners who paid the October 2026 exam fee. Check your hall ticket now, while there is still time to report a missing document or wrong detail to your Regional Centre.
This is a live portal update checked on 11 September 2026. It is different from the hall-ticket information published earlier for the April 2026 exam cycle: the current pages are specifically for the October-November 2026 public exams and October 2026 Formative Assessment.
## Who should check the October 2026 hall ticket?
Check if you are registered for the upcoming NIOS public examination at Secondary or Senior Secondary level and have paid the applicable examination fee for October 2026. This may include learners appearing through different admission routes, but your eligibility is decided by your NIOS record and exam-fee payment—not simply by having an active admission.
The SDMIS page asks for your 12-digit enrolment number and a hall-ticket type. The official page currently identifies the document as the hall ticket for the October-November 2026 Public Examinations.
There is also a separate official page titled “Hall Ticket for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses for October 2026 Formative Assessment (FA)”. Do not assume that the public-exam hall ticket and FA hall ticket are the same document. If your dashboard or instructions require both, check both pages.
## Hall ticket download nahi ho raha—what does NIOS say?
The public-exam hall-ticket page gives two important conditions:
- You must have paid the examination fee for the October 2026 public examination. - Your photograph must be available with NIOS.
If the hall ticket is not generated, NIOS instructs the learner to contact the concerned Regional Centre immediately. Do not wait until the first paper. A missing hall ticket can be caused by an unpaid or unconfirmed fee, a missing photograph, an admission or subject issue, or a record that still needs correction.
Start by checking your payment receipt and enrolment details. Then try the official hall-ticket page again using the correct 12-digit number. If it still does not appear, save screenshots of the error and contact your Regional Centre through the contact details listed by NIOS. Keep your enrolment number, fee receipt, identity document and admission details ready.
## What should you check after downloading it?
Do not only check whether the PDF opens. Read every line carefully:
1. Name and enrolment number. 2. Secondary or Senior Secondary course. 3. Examination type and hall-ticket category. 4. Subjects listed for the October-November 2026 public exam. 5. Exam-centre name and address, if shown. 6. Photograph and other personal details. 7. Instructions about reporting time and permitted items.
If a subject you paid for is missing, or your personal details or centre information appear wrong, contact NIOS promptly. Do not assume that the examination centre can fix every record-level error on the exam day.
Also remember that the online hall ticket is for immediate information. The official page says that NIOS is not responsible for inadvertent errors published online and that the original documents are issued separately. Treat the downloaded hall ticket as an important exam document, but follow any later correction or instruction issued through the official portal or your Regional Centre.
## Is this the same as the practical-exam update?
No. NIOS separately listed a notification dated 6 September 2026 regarding practical examinations for the October 2026 session. That practical-exam notification and the public-exam hall-ticket page serve different purposes. Check your practical information separately if your subjects include practical work.
The hall-ticket update is also not a new admission window. It is for learners whose examination records are already eligible for the October 2026 public examination. A learner who has only started an admission application, or whose admission and exam-fee status is unresolved, should not assume that a hall ticket will be generated.
> Official rule: The October 2026 public-exam hall ticket is downloadable only when the October 2026 exam fee has been paid and the learner’s photograph is available with NIOS; if it is not generated, contact the Regional Centre immediately. Official SDMIS hall-ticket page — rule verified on 11 September 2026.
## What happens if you do nothing?
If you do not check the hall ticket, you may discover a missing subject, wrong centre, missing photograph or unavailable document too late to seek help. NIOS has not published a general “wait and see” instruction on the hall-ticket page. The safer action is simple: check now, download a copy, keep a backup on your phone and report any problem immediately through official channels.
